Openning Comments on Staying in Iraq

The United States should remain in Iraq for many reasons. Besides the fact that leaving the country now would result in the area simply reverting back to the way it was prior to the war, many groups in the area still support terrorist activities and harbor a generall ill-will towards the US and other countries around the world. Because of the large number of peolpe that dislike America in this area, the area serves as a station for terrorist groups to plan and prepare for attacks. Since dislike for the US is spread throughout the middle east, remaining in Iraq would deter other countries from harboring terrorist or planing their own attacks and provide quick access to them in case of another attack. Another reason the US and her allies should remain in the Iraq is, sadly to say, retain at least partial control over the areas oil. If the unitied states were to leave Iraq now, the terrorist and ratical groups would retake control of the county's governmenet, reverting the controling group back to the state it was in before the war. The Unitied States withdrawing from Iraq would result in major negative reprocustions at a later time.

Initially, this is fine, but make sure you are arguing facts and talking points that have been reiterated over the last five years. I'm sure you will rectify this when you begin to develop your topic further and the posts become more "formal." Watch your spelling--EDIT.
